Paula Pripas is the producer of Filmes de Abril, a Brazilian film company. She has produced award-winning films such as “Êxtase”, directed by Moara Passoni (CPH:DOX Awards, Visions du Reel, Festival do Cinema Nouveau - Prix D’innovation Daniel Langlois, Best film at Lucas International Film Festival, Critics Award at Mostra Internacional de São Paulo, MoMA Doc Fortnight) , “First act” (released at the Amodo Competition of 48th IFF Rotterdam), directed by Matheus Parizi and “The days with him” (Best film at Tiradentes, CachoeiraDoc, DocLisboa, and others), by Maria Clara Escobar. She served as executive producer professor at the Escuela Internacional de Cine de Cuba (EICTV). In 2020 she released “Desterro” directed by Maria Clara Escobar at the Tiger Competition of 49th IFF Rotterdam (exhibited at Vienalle, Taipei IFF, Vilnius IFF, Festival du Nouveau Cinemá, DocLisboa, amongst others) coproduced by Terratreme (Portugal) and Frutacine (Argentina) and funded by ANCINE. She currently has three projects in post production: the documentaries “Mambembe”, by Fábio Meira, “Ouvidor” by Matias Borgström and “Let’s explode São Paulo, Gil” by Maria Clara Escobar.
